we can all pray

2 Timothy 1:5-7

English Standard Version

I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

When have you thought of who has carried or who will carry God to the next generation? Well, someone prayed for you and we need to be the one who prays for generations to come. Paul is reminding Timothy to fan the flames in himself so he can help others. We have been given a power that is not of us but of God to touch others. We want to all do it the same way. But we can all pray. Take a meal for someone or cut their grass if they can’t. God will lead you if you allow Him to. Just remember The God that is in you has power and through Him we can do all things. We should fear only the things that God has told us to do that we don’t do.
