FAMILIES

Nehemiah 1:11

New International Version

11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king.

What problem do you need God to hear today? Nehemiah knew that they had a problem in Jerusalem but he knew God could help. In his prayer if you read the whole prayer you will see how he was crying out not for himself but for all the Jews. Now that is what makes me feel that when we pray for our family or our country or anyone else that God can hear and give us favor. He was truly broken but willing to do more than pray he was willing to do the work that it was going to take to help fix the problems. Are we willing to put our hands to the work that God has placed on our hearts? And are we repenting for all the things we and are families have done? He prayed for the Jews and even ask for forgiveness for them. It reminds me of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Father forgive them. You know all Jesus wants is a broken heart. We need to be broken for our families and the world that needs Jesus.

I am praying for you and your families today.
