building faith

Matthew 14:26-31

English Standard Version

But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

What stands between you and Jesus? Is it your fear, doubts, a problem or just stubbornness? You are in the boat of life today and it is you who chooses what you are going to do. You can be the eleven that just stands and stays fearful or you can be the one to step out into the unknown. Peter was always sticking his foot in his mouth. But at least he was doing something. We never fear till we see something or think something that we can’t control. When was the last time you saw the wind? You can’t see the wind but you can see the water being carried by the wind. You see your problem being carried by something and you feel like you’re drowning in it but remember all Jesus had to do was reach out to get him. He has you He just wants you to become stronger in the problems not always just pull us out. Remember it’s your faith that you are building. I love you guys so much I pray for God to bless you today.
