Matthew 2:2
New International Version
2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Which star are you following? The world will give you all kinds of stars but what are we following. God gave a star that only comes around every 80 years. That means it will be back visible in 2080. Most of us might never see it here on earth. But one day in heaven we will see the bright and shiny star Jesus. The Star of Bethlehem, mentioned in Matthew's Gospel, is one of the main symbols associated with Jesus' birth, embodying the light of hope of salvation in the midst of darkness. We live in a dark world and we are the only light that people might see. So when you get so busy and rushed this Christmas remember that you might be the only light someone might see.
Go take the light of Jesus to someone today.
